OPENING, Reál Revolucion Palermo Soho

A new Mexican restaurant, Reál Revolucion, opened in Palermo Soho a few weeks back.

The space is huge and it’s about a block from Plaza Serrano, on Honduras between Thames and Uriarte.

I’ve only been once, but I can proudly say it’s the best Mexican food I’ve had in Buenos Aires.  NO, that doesn’t necessary carry much weight considering the Mexican food scene is rather horrendous, I know…

The flour tortillas are legit as is the homemade hot sauce.  Service was friendly, the food was well seasoned and the ingredients were fresh.

The menu consists mostly of tacos, burritos and a few specialty plates.

I ordered the chicken mole but sadly it wasn’t available.  Instead I had the pork bean burrito, which was tasty, however next time I will see if they can substitute the rice for more black beans.  I’m not a rice in burrito fan, it’s too starchy for me!

The chef is Mexican and the owners are Argentine and they’re open everyday for lunch and dinner except on Wednesdays according to their facebook.

Have you been?  Did you try the mole?!  Or the  micheladas?  Fingers crossed!
