Life in Buenos Aires is such a roller coaster.
High ups followed by steep falls and back up again, if you’re lucky.
Right now things are up, WAY UP.
And I want to share!
Friends and family, come visit!!
I wish you were all here to indulge with me.
Here’s whats been going on-
Other than food and wine I have bought ONE (amazing black dress) thing for myself since I moved to BA.
Do you have any idea how much self-control that is? I do.
I’ve been working real hard so I decided to reward myself with this feisty bag.
Isn’t she fun?!!
The weather is warm which means cute cafes for coffee, vino and snacks.
This cheesecake had a chocolate crust and was smothered in maracuya (passionfruit).
I LOVE MARACUYA.
I first had it in Colombia.
It looks like a ‘bad orange’ from the outside. You cut it open and it’s like an oyster with a bunch of seeds.
It is an explosion of tartness.
A really cool new French Moroccan restaurant/bar just opened in Palermo.
So badass they serve oyster martinis.
Question- isn’t the oyster supposed to be IN the martini?
This is Momo!
Also known as ‘Momo el gordo’ or ‘Momo el gato’.
He was adopted from the Botanical Gardens.
He is rather large and bilingual.
We’ve recently built him his own Box Mansion after he expressed his love of cardboard.
Praise to new projects!!
My boyfriend and his brother have been making their own beer.
It’s called Bröeders.
It’s so cute!
Next is wine.
I recently had the privilege of eating a Hobbit inspired dinner over at Casa SaltShaker.
My favorite course was this guy above.
Thanks for the inspiration!
Strawberries and asparagus have arrived!!
You see, if a vegetable or fruit isn’t in season it’s not available here in Buenos Aires.
And as annoying as that can be, I LOVE IT.
You know you’re eating fresh and local.
Meet the Ceviche Sope.
Sea bass ceviche – jalapeno puree – sope
This beauty is our latest addition to our September menu at NOLA.
Oh, did I mention that we’ve made it to the #1 restaurant in BA on tripadvisor.
It’s kind of a big deal.
There’s like over 1400 restaurants!!!!
I chopped off all my hair.
Like literally 12+ inches!!
It’s a love hate relationship.
I needed a change.
I got it!!
I’m so happy.
Thanks for the ride, Argentina.
