Last year I had the privilege of spending my 26th birthday island hoping throughout Bocas del Toro.  Bocas is located about 30 km south of Costa Rica on the Caribbean coast and is stocked with banana plantations, tropical cuisine, pelicans, desolate beaches and the BEST hot sauce I’ve ever had.  I stayed on the island of Bastimento with fellow travelers and spent the week exploring beaches and eating loads of octopus aka pulpa & plantains.  The most memorable birthday yet…..
