My father knows good food. Really good food. Born and raised in New Orleans with an Italian background, he was the parent figure in the kitchen while growing up.
Years later while visiting my enchanted city I find myself craving Dads’ creations (bbq shrimp pasta, spicy crawfish fettucini, DIRTY rice) and my childhood favorite, fried shrimp po’boys.
Haven eaten hundreds of po’boys in the past, I had never thought to add bacon and cheese. Good thing my dad did. Boys and girls, I present the bacon & cheese SHRIMP po’boy. Enjoy.
