I’ve been glued to the computer this week watching Sandy takes its toll on NYC my home of 5 years before coming to Buenos Aires.
Yes, I’m a total hurricane girl (and Katrina refugee) being from New Orleans but there was something so electrifying about all the storm chaos taking place in New York City that made me miss my days in lower Manhattan and really wish that I could be there during this grey time to witness this historical week. The same night Hurricane Sandy hit landfall in the New York tri-state area a massive storm blew through Buenos Aires flooding the streets and causing power outages in parts of the city. Rains so strong that I woke to a hole in my living room ceiling and pieces of wet dry wall stuck to the floor. So I guess you could say I got a taste of it, on a small South American scale.
Last night my girlfriends and I had dinner and we took turns decorating skull cookies. I wish I could send a big batch to NYC and feed you all.
