I finally had La Crespo, the jewish deli in Villa Crespo. I’ll probably be back weekly.
Why?
- The owner (la dueña) brings me comfort as if I were talking to my grandmother. She’s so personable and warm. I would go back just for her.
– House made pastrami sandwich. STACKED.
- Bagel with salmon, capers, cream cheese. Properly done.
- Cheesecake.
- Knishes. Takes me back to Ann St. days in NYC when I lived above Joe’s deli in FiDi. But way cleaner.
